How can I apply for the Fellowship Program?

Submit your application through the Fellowship Program application form on the C4IR Saudi Arabia website.

Do I need to be nominated by my employer, or can I apply directly?

Applicants can apply directly or be nominated by an entity. Both routes follow the same assessment and selection process. Written employer approval for full-time release is required before final admission.

Can I select more than one priority area?

Yes. You may select up to two project areas. Final placement depends on approved priorities, project needs and your relevant expertise.

What information and documents are required?

The form asks for your professional and academic background, project interests, relevant experience and an accessible link to your CV. A LinkedIn profile or professional portfolio may also be included. You will be asked whether you have discussed a secondment with your line manager or relevant team. Formal written employer approval is required before final admission.

What should I demonstrate in my application?

Show your relevant professional or research experience, analytical ability, problem-solving approach, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and potential contribution. Give specific examples of your role, approach and results.

What is the selection process?

Applications undergo eligibility screening and assessment of expertise, capabilities and fit with project needs. Shortlisted candidates are invited to an assessment or interview. Successful candidates may receive a conditional offer, subject to employer release and completion of secondment arrangements.

How will shortlisted applicants be contacted?

By email or phone. The Centre will schedule a meeting as part of the assessment and selection process.

Does applying guarantee admission?

No. Applications are assessed against eligibility requirements, capabilities and project needs. Final admission also depends on employer release and secondment arrangements.

What is the timeline for the 2027 selection process?

October 2026: Applications and nominations. November 2026: Eligibility screening, assessment and interviews. December 2026: Conditional offers, employer approval, secondment agreements and onboarding. January 2027: Fellowship start and orientation.
